Taking inspiration from the taco stands of Tijuana, a family started its first Taco Stand place in La Jolla in 2013. By 2016, the owners managed to open Taco Stand at two new locations in Downtown San Diego & Encinitas. Was visiting from the east coast. BEST steak taco I have ever had in my life! I will never look at tacos the same! Service was great and so was the salsa bar.

best shrimp burito I have tried....period...
Quite possibly the best California burrito I've had in SD. The carne asada tastes like real steak rather than mystery meat. Great salsa bar, but no spicy carrots. Oddly, no aguas frescas either.
