I was in town visiting with my grandmother and mother when we stopped to eat at The Sweet Onion. It was a suggestion from one of my mother's friends and boy was it a great suggestion! The food was so good; I had the low country mac and cheese, while my mother and grandmother shared the chicken fried steak (they weren't very hungry). Excellent food and service. The three of us all really enjoyed our dinners. We had the turkey meatloaf, shrimp and grits (has an awesome lobster sauce), and ribeye steak cooked to perfection and delicious. We will return when we visit this area again.
The Chefs are the best! Clean,well appointed restaurant with consistantly good food.

We have lived in WNC for 10 years and this is one of our favorite restaurants. Great food and always good service. The first restaurant we went to after closing on our house was called Wildfire. Loved it but it closed. We later found that the owners of Wildfire now jointly own the Sweet Onion. Glad they brought some of their dishes, the salad is amazing.
