We are from Wichita Kansas and went to the Surf Hut based on a recommendation from an RV owner across the street, who when we asked him, "Where would he go for the best seafood?" Without hesitation, he pointed across the street to the Turf Hut and recommended the Early Bird Menu. This was our 45th Valentine's Day dinner & is a special occasion for us since it was on this day 45 years ago, I proposed to a lovely woman! It could not have been a better meal. The Surf Hut is always our first stop in Destin! Love everything we have tried... from shrimp n grits to fish tacos it is all fantastic. And the view is fabulous too!!!
Only if you're a tourist. Go there more for the view than the food.
