The food was amazing and I had the best martini ever!
The food was great, that goes without saying, but what made my visit to The Strand House so extraordinary was the incredible service. This staff went out of it's way to help me with a non-food/restaurant emergency. While celebrating my birthday, the parking lot I parked in was being emptied by the police for a local event. I didn't see the signs and had to quickly exit the restaurant to prevent my vehicle from being towed. From the sparkling ocean views to the decadent doughnuts our dinner was just pure delight. We experimented with interesting drinks (I had the "elderly leopard" which was terrific), yummy appetizers (oysters and crispy pork belly w/grits), and enough food to cover the table (salmon, Brussels sprouts, and mac & cheese). I've had most of the dishes we ordered tonight before at other restaurants, and so had a good idea of what to expect.
