Very disappointed with my experience at The Standard so far. I submitted a maintenance request over 20 days ago to fix a faulty smoke alarm. The alarm continues to go off throughout the day and night, interfering with my sleep, and I cannot remove it since it is part of an older alarm system. I have reached out multiple times regarding this issue. I was told that maintenance came last Friday, stayed for less than five minutes, did not resolve the problem, and then left. I initially posted a positive review and basically said they resolved a minor issue during move-in and everything was good. Well, since then I can’t find a single positive thing to say about the place so here is more information. Everything could be improved, they can't seem to get anything right. Beware. Hit and run first week. No help. Nada….
My daughter, a sophomore, moved into The Standard, yesterday and the experience was excellent. The building is beautiful and the amenities (heated year round rooftop pool, the clubhouse, the gym, coffee bar, etc) are unrivaled. I had read all of the reviews, many of which are mixed, prior to signing the lease and had minor concerns particularly on how issues are addressed. They gave me the WORST possible roommates ever. I requested so many times to leave AND I reported them many times for physical things they did and the standard did NOTHING about it. They paired me with the worst roommates ever three years in a row and their names are Avery Echols and Peyton Usher.
