Still one of my favorite places in Colorado. I like staying at the hotel for the 24 hr access to the pools.
My wife and I took our daughter (newly transplanted New Mexico resident) on our first visit. She had fallen in love with Pagosa Springs after joining work friends. She had loved the Springs from a distance. We stayed in a King Turret and found it perfect. We arrived early and walked town until we were notified our room was ready. Should have evening prices, overpriced for a few hours soaking..
I recently visited the springs with a group of friends. Not everyone went to the blue lagoon pool(only those with kids) but everyone who did got sick.(about 12 of us.) A day after being in the pool, all of us started throwing up uncontrollably, along with diarrhea. We will not be going back to the hot springs. but i wanted to say a warning- Unless you want to be sick for the next week.. Stay away from the hot springs!
An amazingly beautiful place. They are most hospitable and gracious.
Best family day ever! All ages. Great memories! Will return.
