My husband and I played golf at Griffin Gate yesterday. My car was broken into by way of smashing and shattering my passenger-side window having my purse stolen. The persons whom stole my purse proceeded to rack up over $10,000 in purchases. I alerted the golf course to the incident and was told "someone would be in touch". It has been close to 24 hours and I have yet to hear from anyone. It is extremely disappointing to have had something like this happen anywhere, but especially at a place considered a resort. Highly disappointed 😔 for a birthday getaway we booked online via the website to the hotel and online was granted a king room with large balcony, whirlpool, fridge, etc. When we arrived at the hotel we were told at the front desk that this room was not available, and to make up for it they would put us in a room on concierge level and could have free breakfast..Just a basic room. No fridge, no whirlpool....and very noisy neighbors throughout the night ! 300$ to me is outrageous!!!

Shout out to the Griffins Gate Marriott! We stayed here for Kentucky National. The general manager was in the lobby Friday and we had a conversation about what the hotel could do to offer good service to the horse community. Yes! They will do early coffee! When I mentioned our horse had won two sets of whiskey glasses, he had a bottle of Makers Mark Private Select sent to our room. All the staff has been amazing. Staff is always courteous and professional. Todd in the concierge lounge always remembers my name even though it's sometimes a year between my stays. Feels like home whenever I'm here.
