It Was Just Ok We actually were able to get this hotel on a discount, and it was barely worth that. The room was cute and very nicely furnished, but it was very small, definitely not enough room to stretch your legs. Unfortunately our room also had an odd odor that made the room unpleasant. We only stayed one night and the only parking they have is valet parking for $28. For one night it was really expensive so we had to drive around to find metered street parking. This made it harder for us to relax in our room when we had ... read more

* The staff is very nice, the hotel is clean, there is a free computer room in the lobby and free Wi-Fi in the lobby too. Here is the one thing....the room is tiny and walls are a little thin. When I say tiny I mean there really is no standing room but if you are just looking for a room to crash with and a comfortable bed...this is a great hotel.

Priced fair for location and quality of room. The bed and pillows are my favorite part of the room. They use Parker & Morgan pillows which I'm now going to buy for my own bed. on-site self parking and valet is over $30 for each but that is fair compared to nearby hotels. Overall great quality place.

If we paid full price, I probably would have docked another star. The website we booked through had this room listed as $165 per night over the memorial day weekend. We jumped on it being that most other downtown hotels were upwards of $200 for the holiday. My business partner and I spent Thurs & Fri night there with not too many complaints. However, after reading a few reviews on a couple sites, I still am unsure why they don't install full shower doors. The entire bathroom is tiled. Toilet and shower are separated by a gla... read more

Don't stay here. The valets scratched my car and the company the hotel contracts with for parking services won't pay for it. It'll cost you way more in car repairs- and the hotel itself isn't great. For pretty much the same price (minus vehicle damage) you can stay at the U.S. Grant and not have dogs barking and people partying next to you ALL NIGHT. Oh and in SIX different rooms that my family booked none of the TV's really worked.

This hotel must be desparate – I agree with the other reviewers. The rooms are incredably small you have to step into the hall to change your mind. And there is an extra charge for EVERYTHING. We booked our reservation through Orbitz. My husband and I had planned to stay for 2 nights but we had a change in plans and checked out after only 1 night, but they insisted on charging us for a 2 night stay claiming that it was Orbitz policy which was a lie. We don't recommend this hotel, Tthere are a lots of great hotels in San Dieg... read more

WORST HOTEL for Security and Service!!! – The rooms are very small, but clean and updated. The service was horrible!! The BIGGEST issue is they let anyone in the hotel and there is no security. The hotel is across the street from the county jail and next to the Greyhound bus station. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!
