You know that BBQ restaurant your friends keep telling you about and you keep thinking "it can't be that good." Guess what? This place really does live up to the hype! This is the real deal. Oh, and the portion sizes. Oh my! Come hungry and be ready to eat some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The sides are just as delicious as the meats. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I had the pick any two (meat) combo with the 2 sides. As this was my second time but this is actually my first review. I chose the ribs and the brisket , deviled egg potato salad, smokey beans and I added the yams towards the end of the meal. Let me start off by saying the brisket was falling apart literally on my fork as I was picking it up, tender, moist(not the dry taste or look of a normal brisket) and it was delicious �! Our first time at The Smoke Pit thanks to a recommendation from friends. Our family has hit A LOT of BBQ joints all over the Carolinas. We are big on the quality of the meat and the quality of the sides. We showed up on a Monday at 6:30 and the place was packed. A good sign! The line went quick and even though the dinning room is a bit small there was still room for our family of 6. The food came out quick, was hot and there was a lot on the tray. I got the pulled pork platter with cornbread ..slaw and mac and cheese and it was so much I cudn eat it all......It's a great place to dine.....I will be Goin back bc I want to try the brisket sandwich.....
