I consider myself somewhat of a BBQ snob - every BBQ place I go to, I try their take on BBQ to see if it’s as good as other’s. My old favorite for years was Mac’s Speed Shop; but I feel that in recent years, they have gone downhill. Then, The Smoke Pit opened up in Concord a couple years ago. I heard good things so I tried it out and haven’t looked back! EVERYTHING is good here! They stay busy, they sell out of food, and it’s no question why: the food is amazing! First off the staff is wonderific!!! Now to the food, Ordered large brisket plate with fries, white slaw and jumbo wings. The wings were under cooked....pink and tough all the way through. The brisket was extremely dry and brown all the way through.....the only beef that should be served like that is ground. Both the brisket and chicken was served cold. The manager did replace my meal to go as i had lost my appetite.....she was wonderful along with the staff. The low point was when it came time to pack my food to go there wa... read more

My first visit to The Smoke Pit! Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent! Be warned that Mondays you get extra sides. SO much food. Best food of my trip!
