And I thought we Aussies knew how to do a steak! Huge! This place is a gem. Best service in New York hands down!
The food was amazing, but the service was horrible. Our waiter barely spoke to us, he forgot to bring out one of our sides, and he didn't check on us at all. Also he put steak sauce on the table and we didn't ask for it. Insulting. Who puts steak sauce on Filet Mignon?
The servers here are delightful and the food is delicious. There is always a crowd but everything is timed perfectly. They are a wonder!
Food is always excellent. Portions over the top. The only complaint I ever have here is that I wish they had some more "moderate" portions of.... something... :-)

My husband and I came to this restaurant to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The prime rib was over the top and the wait staff superb. We left with full tummies and a new friend Mark Vaez. Highly recommend this establishment.
Brian at the bar is a fine lad. He took great care of me. Amazing meal as expected. Dry aged Filet Mignon complimented their excellent house Cabernet blend straight outta Napa (not your average "house" wine). Famous split pea soup on point and perfect on a cold NYC day. Coconut cake and vanilla ice cream Rich and satisfying = WINNING! I'll be back in two weeks on business and will get a couple more visits to Smith & Wollensky New York ���
