Typically this is one of those steady places, yesterday that was not the case. The brisket wasn’t as good as it’s been in the past. The sides looked old on the serving line, fried okra was cold and sweet potato’s were missing something.
Entered the establishment and asked the guy slicing the brisket if it was beef or a pork brisket. He responded, like I was an idiot..."There is ONLY beef brisket, there is no pork brisket." I didn't argue, but there is a pork brisket out there..it is wonderful. The man that checked me out was the polar opposite...exceedingly friendly. The Brisket, Cilantro Sausage, and Beef Rib were awesome. Not to mention the sides- Collard Greens and Mac n Cheese. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back again!
The fried chicken is out of this world !! The brisket and sides were very good too
