Update: I received a response stating that Jaquayla told me before she styled my hair that my texture “may not hold the style as expected” and that’s a lie! I had a very detailed conversation with that young lady, and she proceeded as if it was okay, never telling me the style wouldn’t work. I’m not a professional hair stylist, which is why I ask, and follow their suggestions. I saw Jaquayla for wash, trim, and 2 strand twist. I had discussed via text prior to my appointment, that I wanted to consult upon arrival, as I felt my hair was too soft/fine for this style. Since she proceeded to style me, I assumed it was okay. Her client before me had longer, thicker hair, and she styled her hair beautifully. Upon entering The Slay Lounge, I was always greeted with kindness from all of the stylists present & I can’t help but mention how cute the salon is (Perfect for photo ops after getting your hair, nails or lashes done)!!! I worked directly with the owner, Ms. Shae, as the Choreographer for her hair show, & she is absolutely the sweetest person!
