The food is a 5. The service was mediocre. I still am giving it a 4 because service doesn't matter when you're satisfied at a 5 star level. I'm used to this being a Chicago native, and with so many great chefs here you notice a lot of spectacular Michelin level fare and the last thing they think of is service. All restaurants have ego. We were really looking forward to this spot but we're terribly disappointed in their service. Food was pretty good...we had one bad entree...don't waste your time on the egg entree. We saw our server once. Once from the time we ordered to the time our food was served. Service was terrible...we would have ordered a lot more food had our server been more attentive. We had a great waitress and the food was excellent..every dish...as well as dessert...yummy to the max!
Great Vietnamese food & a beautiful setting. Staff were lovely, but watch out for a male manager, he has a seriously bad attitude where everything appears to be an effort. All in all, a good experience.
The food simply can't be beat. It's beautifully presented and comprised of simple and clean ingredients with bright flavors and a great blend of textures in each dish. The reason I rated it 3 instead of 5 is due solely to the staff. There's an arrogance and an attitude that comes across that lacks any genuine hospitality. We went very early and managed to walk in. Had a spectacular view of the lit up Bay Bridge and very tasty food to eat. I was not disappointed in any respect.
Amazing with no doubt the food is superb but the staff is magnificent and happy. Amazing owners who care about it all,from food they serve,to people who serve it,to the people who eat it. Well Done Slanted Door! Love them all!
Food was perfect.... service sad what happened ??? Server was just not a happy gal. And forgot part of our order and did not know her win list. No need to go back...
