The quality is great but not as good as it used to be 2 years ago
I have been twice and have never been disappointed. The food is very good and we have always had great service. Their "rush" time may seem overwhelming if you are not used to it but the crowd thins fairly quickly leaving you with amazing views of the bridge, boats and water. I highly recommend it.
It's way over priced though! You're paying for the ambiance and location.

Sat at the bar with the most amazing bartender. It was fascinating watching her make drinks. The food was fantastic, the place has a great vibe, and it's surrounded by incredible shops. We'll definitely be back.
Several friends recommended that we eat at The Slanted Door on a recent trip to San Francisco. We were not disappointed! We actually had to cancel our initial reservation, and though they had no reservations available on our other free night, the staff explained exactly how to get a table by arriving early. We found the service wonderful....all the staff were helpful when serving each dish, explaining ingredients and suggestions on how to eat. As always the food was excellent, service top notch. My only complaint is the restaurant does not serve a Pinot Grigio nor a Chardonnay wine. I tasted the only white selection and was not plead. I settled for an IPA...
Every dish was so delicious.Can see why it's so popular.
Best of the best. Go any chance you can - I personally like the options for lunch more than dinner. But you will not be disappointed.
