Absolutely wonderful! This place is original and cozy. A must try! The owner's are so family friendly and make everything from scratch. The food is delicious and the chicken is the best I've ever had! Super crisp and juicy. Apple fritters were delicious and the shrimp tacos superb. Cannot say enough good things. Everyone should go and check them out!!!! 5☆☆☆☆☆
Wow, truly a hidden gem. Chef was delightful. Food was fun, unique & excellent.
I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. We went with friends and I loved the atmosphere and charm it has. They started us off with a basket of warm pumpkin fritters and also garlic butter bread!! Omg I don't like pumpkin but they were so good!! We had a few apps that were good, the salads were fresh and you could tell homemade not iceberg from a bag . good here is amazing and the owner actually really cares whether you're enjoying your time in his restaurant. we look for places like this to have real individually prepared food. the quality is excellent!!
The food and service was outstanding...Now serving Blue Gill and Crappie...not to mention excellant Lake Perch...
Service needs to be kicked up a notch but the food ws very tasty!

I highly recommend the Shrimp Barn for your next private party. I had my daughter's baby shower here and everyone raved not only about the food but also the uniqueness of this antique decorated restaurant! The owners were very flexible and accomodating and right on with all of their suggestions for food to serve. We were able to bring in our own drinks, desserts and decorations. The Shrimp Barn is a hidden gem in Minooka that you should definitely check out!!!
