Business trip at the next level. Love the haunted room story and Al Capone history. Beautiful atmosphere.
My wife and I just spent a couple days there for our honeymoon. Fantastic hotel, design, history. Walking distance to restaurants and the aquarium. Nice restaurant and bar/billiards area.
Incredibly easy to reach from the freeway. Very nice valet guys and quick service. Beautiful entry and easy/pleasant check-in process. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and the place is so full of history. When you walk in, it smells so good throughout the whole hotel. We stayed one night only and on the 5th floor. We stayed at the hotel Sat and Sun night. I have mixed feelings. The location is perfect, close to pretty much everything downtown has to offer. Felt safe to walk around. Lots of restaurants and bars. Beds are comfortable. Had really good sleep. Or that could have been the 15000 steps we clocked each day. Service is all over the place. Valet is nice but mornings have long line. I recommend calling ahead. No room service on Sunday so had to go to the bar. There is only one bartender servicing about 20 people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR THOSE WHO WANT A GREAT LUXURY STAY FOR LOW PRICE. Be careful with early check in, I called at 11am, the front desk said my room was available to check in prior to 3. Arrived at 12:30 and the front desk said the room is not ready and they aren't sure who I spoke to earlier that day. Came back at 3:45pm (45 minutes after expected check in) and my room was still not ready.
