I have lived at The Severn for 18 months and it has been a great experience so far. The building itself is old, which has a both positives and negatives, but the management does an excellent job of answering requests for service and general issues. Unresponsive, unprofessional, and uncommunicative management company. I have been waiting for three months for must-sign legal paperwork from them. Separately, it took me four months to receive and sign my lease renewal, which occurred two months AFTER my lease was supposed to begin (lived two months without legal paperwork/coverage). This wasn't for lack of trying. Don't bother trying to work with Tamika at 611 Park or The Severn...unless WPM is in a position to take your money. Never slow to cash a check!

Great Area but... This historic building is in the heart of Mount Vernon and next to the Washington monument park. Not bad rent for the area but there are some issues. The elevator tends to break down several times a year. Also there have been problems with mice, but it is the city. When you call for maintenance they are pretty quick responding. Management is helpful and polite.
