Amazing Food, great service! – My Fiancee and I went to the Sea Grill for my birthday dinner last night. We were greeted at the door by the maitre 'de and another gentleman, who were both extremely welcoming and charming. The Sea Grill Situated at the heart of Rockefeller Center, The Sea Grill is a restaurant that can best to described as "captivating". The atmosphere of the restaurant is subtle, classy and elegant. Disappointed and reputation exceeds reality – I was disappointed after reading so many wonderful reviews. Day after Thanksgiving and we were seated promptly, our order taken and our meal arrived quickly but this is where the good stopped. The waiter never came back to pick up our empty plates for over 25 minutes and then mumbled about the lack of a busboy ,although he did at one point try to take our bread plate for some unknown reason which we weren't done with. The Best of the Deep Blue! – what phenomenal food! the butter poached lobster is dripping with goodness. and i definitely recommend a window seat. i was never able to make to the "old" Sea Grill, but the "new" design is amazing. every sort of shade of blue, it's the perfect frame to looking out over the ice rink.
Very Well Done – Another Restaurant Associates success! Great staff, excellent food, nice ambience. Chef Brown is a great, too. Every course was delicious, and when our entrees were slow in coming they brought shrimp to hold us over - compliments of the chef. That's the kind of service that makes a restaurant "fine dining."
Delicious from start to finish – The food is magnificent, even during restaurant week. We checked out coats and were seated immediately. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable about the specials and service was prompt. We were not rushed through dinner. Great dining experience overall.
User review by toogreen – Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the service was great. The restaurant was quietly decorated and clean. All the employees were polite and pleasant. We were seated immediately and were able to watch the ice skating in Rockefeller Plaza during our meal. A little pricey but worth it. We didn't leave hungry.
