The 4 unit apartment building I have live in for the past years was bought by the Veerkamps and in less than a full week of ownership my rent went from $750. to $1,395.! All because they were able to get that amount for one apartment due to the desperation of a young man who moved here from another state and had nowhere to go and was staying in a place that he was paying $3000 a month for.
