In Pandemic they would not let us delay our son's lease by ONE MONTH, since his school went remote. We agreed to honor the lease, but merely asked that it begin in September instead of August because I lost my job due to Covid. They refused, with no empathy for a PANDEMIC based hardship, when all we requested was a delay to the start of the lease by ONE MONTH. College classes are ALL REMOTE LEARNING for fall term; this company is 100% responsible for a terrible hardship on our family, and are heartless

This company is refusing to prove that I owe a debt even though I've reached out to members of management. Not only does this company steal it's tenets money but they lie about it to. Do not rent with them and avoid them if you can.

It is impossible to tell from this complaint what apartment community is being referred to, in order to review the history of the account and to verify that a debt is owed. But generally the individual's Housing Agreement is the contract governing the relationship, and each resident receives a copy of that agreement. This is in regards to their subsidiary, Scion Tempe Apartments LLC. I changed my mind to move into their apartments, BVLD 1900, 1900 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ 85281. I did not move in or receive keys; I got charged the whole lease amount and it was sent to a collection agency. Its unethical practice to say the least, I do not know why the contract could not be terminated without a charge, since they can easily find someone to fill the apartment space (ASU, large university). The Scion Group is property manager for the apartment community in question, Boulevard 1900 in Tempe, Arizona. The community is home primarily to students from Arizona State University (not freshmen, but mostly upperclass and grad students) as well as non-students. In July 2017, the complainant applied for an apartment space, was approved, and entered into a Housing Agreement with Boulevard 1900 for a term running August 2017 to July 2018, calling for 12 installments of $680 each. In 2015 I was looking for a college to attend , I was looking at apartments too and I seen one I like. The worker at One IL said I had to do an application, I did and didn’t get approved I needed a guarantor & I didn’t get approved. I never moved there and a couple months later I got a eviction on my credit report. This is the worst nightmare of my life. I can’t get a car , a home not even a credit card. The Scion Group has not been affiliated with ONE Illinois since January 2019, but was formerly the property manager for that community. The complainant in this matter entered into an actual Housing Agreement with ONE Illinois that clearly stated it was a binding contract. That contract allowed for the resident to either prepay the final two rent installments as security, or to provide a guarantor; the agreement remained in place either way. In early June 2019, my outgoing ex-roommate unlawfully subleased his room to another person for the summer - that is, he moved out and began accepting rent payments from a third party who moved in, and neither one of them cleared this arrangement with The [property].
