we took our retired priest from spain for dinner. he was our pastor at st. Mary's Fannett for many years...the schooner restaurant is one of his favorite places to eat...our daughter, granddaughter, my husband, fr. clement and I enjoyed our food last night very much...
I've been going there off n on since I was 7 r 8 yrs old..a family tradition! The gumbo and Bbq crabs..amazing food!
We love this place . We went to buy a new truck and afterward decided to eat supper. My husband has been looking for grilled flounder and the sales lady at the Dodge place suggested Schooners . I ordered the ribeye, au gratin potatoes and salad . The steak was the best I've eaten in many months . Cooked exactly as I ordered . Salad crispy and the potatoes to die for. I've been eating at the Schooner since I was a boy.. Last night the Stuffed Fillet Flounder was out of the world!!! I wish you would bring back your original crackers...

Great place. Good atmosphere and delicious food! I normally don't eat gumbo in a restaurant but always get a cup of their seafood gumbo.....yummy!!!
