I have been a resident here since early 2012. While the building management is generally competent and the onsite staff are mostly pleasant and hardworking and despite its convenient location, the rent has increased substantially, likely to offset losses from the COVID years. My wife and I enjoyed living here for a year for our first apartment in DC. The price was reasonable for the area and management was giving a good rent special deal at the time. We especially enjoyed the spacious balcony which we used as a second dining area. Super convenient location for groceries as we were within walking distance to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Only reason that we moved out was to be closer to graduate school at American University.
I lived in the Savoy for a year after I graduated and moved to DC. It was a wonderful experience as the studio sizes were great, the mail system was well organized, and the staff/management were all wonderful. The location was great as it was safe and very close to transit. Could not recommend better studio apartments in DC at this price!
I lived at The Savoy for 2 years and it was a great building! The location is fantastic, the building staff are kind and responsive, and the pool is a really nice added bonus. I never had any maintenance issues in my 2 years. The price was a deal for the location, and the studio apartments are definitely the largest I've seen in DC. Having someone always at the front desk made it feel safe, I never had any issues with packages, and it was easy to let friends up.
The Savoy has a 4.5 star rating with 19 reviews.
The Savoy is closed now. It will open on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
