I am responding to the open letter dated 4/11/19 in the SSC ObserverTo be an “upscale” restaurant I would think all aspects of the Sandpiper Grille and Bunkers would be measured...the carpets, ceilings are hardly worth putting in a garage. The manager in particular seems to care very little about service or perception! It seems that all too often there is not enough help causing (in my view) too much turnover. Great food, service, prices and ambiance! A local hidden jewel
Try the Frubin sandwich. Service is great. I feel as if I were at "the club"
Exposed to hepatitis A at the restaurant. Could not get the free shot locally because they ran out. Had to pay $180 for both of us to get the shots at the pharmacy. The manager told me I should have gone to Tampa for the shot. He was very dismissive and condescending and offered no apology or concern for the inconvenience. Will never to to this dump again
The health dept. closed them down April 2019...now ALL patrons from Mar 20-24 2019 have to get a Hepatitus A vacine due to a SICK employee who had it plus rats & cockroaches in the kitchen!!
