The San Francisco Dungeon is the first American iteration of the Dungeon attractions that are popular in Europe. In the course of an hour, you're taken through some of San Francisco's most interesting historical events. There are nine live shows and fully immersive sets that you walk through as your visit progresses. You even get to experience an underground boat ride! The shows can range from hilarious to somewhat scary, so the recommended minimum age for visitors is 10.

The story was good that one and a half second ride was horrible was not worth the money for three people

Bought as an upgrade to the wax museum and it was such a good decision. Very funny yet scary/shocking at times. Audience participation is huge and keeps you involved. Wouldn’t bring kids under about 14-15, someone didn’t heed the pg13 warning and their kid had a meltdown around halfway in. Actors were great, makeup was on point and storylines were highly entertaining.

The trip thru the dungeon was worth the time. It was funny and a little scary at the same time. I'd defiantly suggest that they ditch the drop ride and put in something more exciting at the end. The actors did a good job and were easy to understand. The special effects were well planned. They had some missed opportunities to increase the scare factor but given that it's a family friendly attraction I am ok with that. My biggest problem was the drop ride. Maybe if they dropped you 4 or 5 times, but just once for like 10 feet ... read more

I was happy to be there and understand more about Alcatraz and it’s history while being on the Island and dungeon of Alcatraz the actors was funny and spooky at the same time but it’s okay � I would like to see them have more stages of the story but it was short I’m well appreciate to see it all thank you I went on this day about 10:30am
