Stopped at The Salty Dog on the way home from Savannah. First time visiting, the drive down to it was beautiful. Lunch was very good, I had the mahi tacos which were excellent. The sliced cut fries very good. My wife had the half shrimp salad sandwich and the cup of she-crab soup. The soup was excellent and the shrimp salad sandwich very good. The cole slaw was different, but very good. Overall an excellent experience and hope to get back someday.
I ordered the Chef Special - lightly Blackened Amberjack. Delicious. I also swapped the mashed potatoes for their Hush Puppies. The best Hush Puppies I have ever had. They were so good I didn't share them. 🤗 Our Server was excellent and we had an enjoyable evening.

Not the first time nor the last. Love being at Sea Pines and while the restaurants are no bargain, they are convenient and consistant. Great margaritas, she crab soup and shrimp poboys. Ambience isn't bad either eating outside on the water. You can take a trolley to Harbor Town but the restaurants there aren't any cheaper so it is easier to stay right at the Salty Dog.
RecommendedWent to gift shop. Salesperson extremely nice and she is visiting for the summer from Serbia. She was helpful and pleasant. Would return.
The happy hour cruise is the best ! No children makes it a great escape for adults. Great Captain. Great crew!

We arrived at 5:30pm on a Sunday and were seated right away. Everyone was friendly and greeted us! We ordered the seafood pot pie which was amazing and the fishermans pasta ... to die for!! The shrimp toast was pretty good as an appetizer.
