It is a popular spot for the suited locals to unwind after work in a fun environment. Like the rest of this District however, the Royal Exchange is quite empty by 10 p.m. Until then, though, the mood is convivial and the drinks just keep on coming.

Good for Post-work – Royal Exchange is a top spot to meet friends after work for a beer or cocktail. Friendly staff and group of people where you can talk/hear friends and meet new people as well. Royal Exchange has been a staple in my groups social circle for many years.
eh – it's alright. the food used to be alot better, but its gone really downhill in the past year. plus, it's way overpriced and it seems like the prices are just getting higher and higher.
Perfect after-work place – There are other bars right next to it like Schroeder's but Royal Exchange is a bit more casual, better lighting, better to watch sports, and has the more traditional pub food fare. The crowd seems to be a bit younger and the atmostphere is better to meet people.
An old-school Financial District bar and grill with strong drinks, gigantic burgers and fine brews. – The Scene Two island bars run the length of this high-ceilinged space, separated by a narrow walkway. After-work dates sit at stools lining either bars and larger parties take refuge at bordering tables and wooden booths. Good for NCAA basketball tourny – slow service, above average food, and crowded. but probably the best place in the financial district to watch the NCAA basketball tournament during lunch breaks in march.

Great for food/beers – The Royal Exchange is a really good spot for beers and pub food after work. The burgers and chicken sandwich are great.
