This is a great place to go. I haven't been back to Charleston in 27 years. I am here with some of the Marines of whom I was stationed with for a reunion of almost 30 years ago. Dennis it was great seeing you again brother, Semper Fi my brother.
Ordered a club sandwich to go. Took an hour for them to assemble a sandwich and after all the waiting, got home and opened a box with a lukewarm soggy mess. Apparently their club is a hot sandwich, which is not mentioned on the menu, and due to it being hot along with the grease from the fries the bottom half of the sandwich was completely saturated and i couldn't even pick it up in one piece and the soggy bread squished out between my fingers. If you want decent food, go elsewhere.

Friendly wait staff, great food, and their beverage selection is pretty good as well.
This place really rocks late nights. The service by the bartenders is impressive. They keep up to the crowd in a fast friendly way. I look forward to visiting The Roost every time I am in Charleston!
