We ate there for the first time for our anniversary and what a special treat! American bistro at its best. Roanoke has a gem. Thanks River and Rail for making our anniversary extra special.
We saw the review in the paper and decided to give it a try this evening. The service was excellent. The food however, we found mediocre. There are many other restaurants in the Roanoke valley far superior to this one.
Worth the extra drive time! Juicy and succulent smoked and fried chicken. One of the best twists on a Philly Steak, and rockin white radish salad! Brooke was very attentive and her genuine southern hospitality exudes. Great job chef!
A must if coming to Roanoke!!!!
