My wife and I were in town to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary and decided to visit you for dinner. What an amazing experience. We had your "pork chop for two". I could not have been happier. Also the Kentucky mule was awesome. Thanks for making food fun and keeping things local. I can't wait to visit again.
If you're looking for a specialty cocktail this is the place to go!!!! The mixologist, Shane made me the BEST and most unique cocktails I have had in Virginia! Love this place and loved our server, Leia!

I just enjoyed a delicious fish here that I'd never heard of ... cobia. Turns out it's a meaty but light-tasting white fish prepared here with fingerling potatoes, root vegetables, and English peas, and topped with orange caviar in a light broth. Yes, I'd order it again. We finished off with a shared crunchy dark chocolate pudding thing topped with mocha ice cream accompanied by their house blend of French press coffee. If you're in the area, this is definitely worth a try.
My husband and I had a night in Roanoke on our way to The Greenbrier from West Tennessee for a conference. We had a lot of meals in a lot of places. This was one of the best and with some of the best service! We've already recommended The River and Rail to friends and family and if we find ourselves back in the area, we'll definitely be back!
