RecommendedI’ve been living at The Rice for 7 months and I never want to leave. I love the history of the building and the industrial style. Everything is walking distance and the complimentary valet is so convenient. I always look forward to seeing Miguel and Alexis at the front desk– they are ROCKSTARS and Kelly with management is very attentive and does a great job of communicating with residents about building repairs and community announcements.
Jerry the door man was the friendliest person there ..good werk Jerry!!

I was at the Rice...and enjoyed coffee on the outdoor patio at Minuti...great service, great coffee!
The Rice Hotel.... Is now the Rice Lofts.. lease arrangements. But my Coffee House is there.. Minuti... The lobby is beautiful. The old brass mailboxes are near the elevators in the back. Also the old intercom system is on the back wall. Also in 1912 when this hotel was built by Jesse Jones they called elevators .... cars. !! Jesse Jones was the Howard Hughes before Howard. One more Historical note... President Kennedy spent his last night at the Rice Hotel before being assasinated in Dallas the next day *!!!
