When I made the decision that my wife needed to be placed in a memory care faciity, I did a large amount of research into various places. Because Covid was still semi-active, there were not a lot of places that could take new residents. I took tours and interviewed the admissions staff at no less than 12 facilities in Washington State. Our mother stayed there for years. The employees were nice. the food was poor. When our mother moved out we found mouse droppings everywhere! It was so sad to think that our mom's apartment was infested with mice! I wish I could recommend this place but I can't because of the mice situation.

I appreciate the time Annette spent with me touring the facility and addressing my questions and concerns. The building was beautiful, the staff were helpful and the residents seemed happy and engaged.
I have been a resident of the Retreat for more than four years. I love it here. It feels home. The staff are friendly and caring for the individual. The residents are kind and make me feel as if I am in a family. I like that every part of the facility is kept very clean. For example, the dining room floor is washed more than once a day. The apartments are large and roomy. The grounds are beautiful where I can walk and enjoy nature. I just love it here.
