Growing up in a small town with such a deep history throughout itself, it is such a lovely time to come and visit for a stay or a drink or two with some good friends in the oldest running inn in America. The staff is quite humble and knowledgeable in all things related to this establishment, and it is such a resounding essence in such a community. And you have to get the fried chicken.
The ambiance is magical. I felt transported to the 18th century. I could imagine the colonists coming in for refuge on a blistery cold Virginia winters night, seeking some warmth and respite with a hearty meal and an ale. The Red Fox Inn and Tavern had the best Valentines Dinner ever. The accomodations were exquisite and the coffee delivered in the morning was very good and the breakfast in the Inn was awesome. I highly recommend this historic location for every occasion. Thank you to the front desk and restaurant staff for a wonderful Valentines Day.
