The inn was established in 1728 and, although the tavern was created much later, it still has a historic and elegant charm. The sophisticated ambiance is perfect for any meal, whether you want a hearty brunch, a light lunch, or a romantic dinner by the stone fireplace. We stayed here for a long weekend as part of our honeymoon!!! Absolutely love this place!!!
Loved the atmosphere, the food & service are amazing...2 days later I am still thinking about it! Hehe highly recommended it!
What a treat to dine at a historical restaurant. The host was gracious and her attention to detail was above and beyond. The waiter was a gentleman and very attentive. We had the fried Green Tomatoes as our appetizer. Husband had the fried chicken (feast) and I had the special of haddock which was succulent. The atmosphere was relaxing and we got excited about the history of this idyllic Inn, Tavern & restaurant. We definitely will be back to try the tavern and maybe one day, stay at the inn. Fantastic food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that transports you back in time 200+ years... What's not to love? The impressive historic building itself is enough to warrant 5 stars, but all things considered, I wish I could give it more! We'll definitely be back. Might be my new favorite Middleburg restaurant!
The Red Fox has been such a great weekend getaway! Neat history, nice beds, soft robes, and the best Eggs Benedict we've ever had! Definitely coming back...again and again!!
