Thankfully the concierge at Salamander filled us in on the upstairs room. Place was fully booked but we were able to head up stairs - first come. Food was great as was the staff. Feels like a throw back in time. Worth the trip.

My family and I were on a road trip driving around the small towns of Washington. We stopped at Middleburg and found The Red Fox Inn and Tavern for a bite to eat. What a treat! Steeped in rich history, and fantastic food, this is a place to visit. The service was exceptional, and the staff friendly. My husband opted to have the Red Fox Fried Chicken and the pecan pie, while I had the Peanut soup (not to be missed) and the Crab Cake platter. The food was delicious and down to earth. Home comfort provided with a style.

Was there for a private Christmas party last night. The service was good, entrees were amazing, but the chicken cordon bleu was dry. Couldn't finish my dinner and asked for a to go box but they said since it is a private party they can not give to go boxes. I have never had that happen before.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere! Highly recommend to everybody. Lots of history on this building.

Wow! We had reservations for Thanksgiving and we were blown away. The Inn is charming...the staff, friendly, accommodating, and sweet...the service...excellent...the food was ah-mazing! We're new to the area and will be back often. My two daughters who are 9 and 3 loved it! Thanks for a memorable experience. We are staying in an apartment until our house is done being built and have never gone out for Thanksgiving...it was awesome!
