About this business

Two strong names in San Diego dining—owner Ric Libiran and chef Brian Johnston—partnered up to create this casual but elegant restaurant which also caters to local families. The extensive wine list is offered both by the glass and half-glass, allowing for plenty of pleasant experimentation without going overboard on cost. Most entrées are neo-comfort food such as turkey meatloaf and a signature gourmet take on short ribs. Desserts include a selection of fruity delights accompanied by ice cream or cookies, ... read more

The rabbit meat being used is from rabbits raised in crowded wire cages. Not the "humane" myth you want your diners to believe.

Business response:

Our rabbit comes from a small family farm in East County not a large commercial breeder. Your assumptions are incorrect.

Wow! Kudos to chef Karrie for an unforgettable birthday meal!!! The apps were amazing. We had the fish, duck, lasagna, and burger and everyone was thrilled. We were stuffed and excited to be able to bring home leftovers for tomorrow. Then there was dessert...The lemon cheesecake was sinful and the chocolate mousse cake should probably be illegal. But then we tried the truffles and the fruit with fresh cream...All I can say is "wow" and thank you!!!

Bottomless mimosas? No one ever came to refill my glass or ask my husband if he wanted another Bloody Mary. The food was just okay. They made us use a special menu for large parties and their best brunch items were not on the list!! Like a waffle!? I even asked my friend who hosted and she said they wouldn't let her put certain things on the prefixed menu. Seriously, sad.

I mean the stuff that was brought to me was ok, but our waiter was never around and I got 1 drink even though my drink was bottomless. HORRIBLE SERVICE
