About this business

Two strong names in San Diego dining—owner Ric Libiran and chef Brian Johnston—partnered up to create this casual but elegant restaurant which also caters to local families. The extensive wine list is offered both by the glass and half-glass, allowing for plenty of pleasant experimentation without going overboard on cost. Most entrées are neo-comfort food such as turkey meatloaf and a signature gourmet take on short ribs. Desserts include a selection of fruity delights accompanied by ice cream or cookies, ... read more

Hard to decide which was more exceptional. The staff, or the food.

Perfection! I dont think i could find a better word to describe my experience at this resturant earlier this evening! My boyfriend & i are from New England! We're here on vacation visiting family! We found this resturant online of ones near by our hotel! From the time we walked in until the time we left, was absolutely incredible! Our waiter, Arturo! Fanominal! He went above & beyond to make this visit the best! No resturants that we have tried since our arrival in California, have carried my soda of choice! This bothers me ... read more

I wasn't entirely impressed with this particular restaurant. The service was ok, the food was decent except for the fact that they put Bunny meat in their tacos! Yuck! That just doesn't sit well with me. :-( their pot pie was good but a little greasy, not sure what kind of oil they are using. There are better restaurants in the area to spend your money on.

Business response:

You never ate here. You are slandering us because you don't like the fact that we serve rabbit tacos. We honestly respect your right to disagree with us. We respect your right to not eat rabbit or to not patronize us because we serve rabbit. But we don't like liars.

If that is the case we certainly respect your right to disagree with us and to not patronize our restaurants. Just to be clear, we have not killed or eaten anyone's pets. We have chosen to serve rabbit because it is an environmentally friendly protein, as compared to large animals such as cows, pigs and sheep, whose commercial production does great damage to t... read more
