Amazing Experience!!!!!!!! – Wow, I can't say enough about The Real Chow Baby! Way above average experience. The Staff went the extra mile to make me feel so comfortable even though it was my first time in. From walking me through the amazing "make your own stir-fry" experience to making helpful suggestions with the drink menu, It was really great. I'm not sure who these other detractors are, but the only reason I went to Chow Baby was because of a recommendation from a self-described "foodie" co-worker of mine. Everyone at ... read more

If I knew how to cook asian food.... – I would do it for myself! Of course theyre no better. Problem #1 In a half full restaurant with plenty of available tables we were ushered to a bar table (elevated with Bar stools). When I asked for a table "in the dining room" we had to wait 5 minutes before they decided it was ok to sit us at one of the 5 open tables in the dining room. Problem #2 My first attempt was at fried rice. I got the ingredients including an egg. (BIG MISTAKE). The finished product was covered in slimy uncook... read more

Finally, Atlanta is Catching On – Everything about The Real Chow Baby was amazing. I made a reservation, arrived on time, and was seated within 5 minutes. The owner was extremely personable and introduced himself. The waiter was extremely informative and helpful. The food... all you can eat for $11.99! And, it is not nasty buffet food; this is fresh veggies, pasta, rice, sauces and meats/fish. It was absolutely a great experience. And the best part was the atmosphere. I felt like I was in a lounge of a club with my friends e... read more

Check out Chow Baby – I have dined at other concept like this one before and they have taken it to another level, and got it right. With complementary valet an environment that is ultra hip and a staff to match With the wide range of choices it is impossible not to find something I like. With the two types of rice to the different noodles and all the fresh veggies, The 17 different sauces allows you to mix and match or go plain Jane if you like, and the meat fish and Tofu If you can't find something to make that you need to ... read more

Food is only as good as you make it... – I agree with the one of the other reviews... the service is some of the worst that I have had in a long time. It took almost 15 minutes to just get someone to great our table and then our food came up before our drinks from the bar. The food is average at best. I didn't like how everyone just reaches into the chicken or beef. Also $1.50 seems like a lot for 4 small shrimp. When I was in Chicago there was a similar concept, FlatTop Grille, which didn't even charge for shrimp. Also, for... read more

Poor Service, Tiny Bar... – The concept for Chow Baby, though not by any means novel, is a good model for a fun restaurant. Chow Baby doesn't deliver though. The Bar is painfully small, the service was quite possibly the worst I have ever had to endure, and the stir fry was overcooked and dry. The bright spot is the small platesl, quite tasty, and the outdoor seating. Keep in mind- if you take a date or spouse consider getting only one stir fry instead of two because 1) you won' be able to finish and 2) you are not allowed t... read more

It's Chow Time in Atlanta – The Real Chow Baby in West Midtown is a fabulous place to eat Asian food, whether it's a lunch meeting or a late evening Stir Fry craving. The Stir Fry bar is unique, packed with fresh vegetables from all over the world as well as a great selection of sauces, most of which I hear are made from scratch. There are "Small Plates" available...little nibbles of potstickers or coconut shrimp. A good accompaniment to all of this is one of a half dozen Asian beers, or for a real kick, try a Sake Mojito. T... read more

Hungry patrons are unleashed to do their worst at Atlanta's first do-it-yourself stir-fry joint. – The Scene DIY stir-fry's universal appeal spreads to west Midtown. The sleek loft space, in the bottom of stylish apartments on Howell Mill, attracts Atlantans of all stripes: parents with toddlers in tow, first-date types nervously sipping specialty cocktails, good-looking 20-somethings as far as the eye can see. The stir-fry line, a buffet of raw ingredients from rice and snow peas to coconut curry sauce and fresh shrimp, mov... read more
