We have been eating on a regular basis at the Railstop for about 11 years. Our extended family frequents the restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries, and other holidays. The food is consistently excellent and the waitstaff like old friends. Love the Ravioli and the pork chop, my wife loves the crabcakes and the lamb. Outstanding!

Excellent food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere! After working for some of the best restaurants in DC for over 10 years it's tough to find a restaurant I can go to and actually just relax to enjoy my evening. The Railstop has yet to disappoint! They have always exceeded my expectations and my referrals expectations. It's well worth the drive out of the city when you need a change of pace, a friendly environment, and a happy staff serving great food!!

I see a couple of shaky reviews on here ... seems like every place has to withstand that at some point in its existence. In this case It's oddly satisfying proof that Tom and his crew are merely mortal after all. I've been eating there for 15 years and can honestly say I've had most of the best meals I've ever had in the United States at the Rail Stop ... the Steak, seafood, homemade bread, lamb, osso buco an Italian grandmother would weep for ... consistently superb! I heard people talking at my gym about the #railstop so we figured we give it a shot for Easter Sunday brunch. The food was good and it was a quaint location but we were not impressed by the service; it was very cold and we felt it wasn't kid friendly, at all. Also, not impressed with the menu for such a great day to go out for brunch. They handed out copies of a printed menu and it said it had a kids menu on it. When we asked for the kids menu the waitress said all we have is pasta or chicken, for the kids. Again not impres... read more
