The food and dining experience was wonderful. We went on 6/25/17 a Sunday at 2pm. We were seated right away inside dining. Our waiter was very friendly and explained the dishes very well. We ordered hummus and salt-roasted beets. Both were amazing. For the main dishes we ordered milk braised Berkshire shoulder and house made meatballs. These dishes were amazing as well. Honestly, it's my favorite restaurant in Chicago. I loved everything about it! I liked the food choices, menu, use of flavors, drinks, our waitress and the wait staff who helped each other. I was truly impressed! Cannot wait to go back. Some of the best food I have ever had.

Walked right in, sat right down, and enjoyed every bit of it. Fantastic flavors and good combinations of flavors. Grilled octopus was our favorite dish and we tried many. Not a bad dish though honestly.

Food was great! The bartender was fantastic! A great place for lunch! (Too loud for a nice dinner in my opinion).

Delicious food. Incredible wine, beer and spirits selection. Octopus and the milk braised pork shoulder were exceptionally special dishes.

This was my third time at The Purple Pig and I have yet to have a bad experience. Yeah, the wait is long, but go have a drink or two, it's definitely worth the wait! Honestly, the half duck confit and the grilled octopus will blow you away! 11/10 would recommend.
