super rude host, clearly overwhelmed by a moderately busy restaurant there was an open table that could fit us all however we were turned away because we didn’t have a reservation. turned away is kind of an understatement— he belittled us out of the restaurant. it was actually insane experiencing that last night, an hour before closing. now that i have had some time to reflect on the experience that dude was being a total jerk. we went elsewhere. noted for next time that this is like 1 of 5 places in town that takes reserva... read more
The food was awful. Chalking it up to it wasn't my taste. Pickled deviled eggs has no other flavor but pickle, the burger was fine. The pistachio gnocchi was weird, no ricotta? Who puts soup on gnocchi?? No creaminess whatsoever. And expensive to boot.
Plenty of other restaurants in Glenwood. The food was not great and the service was worse. The host was outright rude right from the start. We should have just left then. There was no need for this treatment, as we were nothing but cordial. We have all worked in the service industry, and really expected better. Seems to be a trend in Glenwood that the "upscale" places are actually providing less hospitality. We've eaten at a dozen restaurants here in the last week, this was bottom of the bunch.
