On a return trip from Georgia back to my home in the South Carolina Low Country, I saw a billboard for the Pompous Pig on I-85. Such billboards know I have a weakness for BBQ restaurants, so my vehicle naturally gravitated towards the exit and soon arrived at the Pompous Pig, tucked away in a strip of buildings. I love this place. Great pulled pork. Went by yesterday. Seems prices have gone up (almost 30.00 for 2 meals) but the food is real good
We’ve been there about 4 times now, and it has always been good. Service is quick and the food is hot and delicious. Never had a bad meal there. Plenty to choose from also. The pulled pork on a bun is our favorite. The pork is always moist and flavorful.
Outstanding BBQ! From pulled pork to brisket to smoked chicken or pork chops, Chet and gang are pros. Sides are hard to beat also.
