Our authentic barbeque is smoked on site daily and takes up to 20 hours to prepare. We only smoke a certain amount of BBQ each day, so get here early--we sell out of an item when demand is unusually high! We hate it, and we know you do too, but we refuse to boil, nuke or grill meat and call it barbeque! We won't compromise our competition-quality barbeque and give you less than our best.

I worked the Operation Musicfest concert in Anderson over the weekend, which was cstered by The Pompous Pig, and it was AMAZING! Now, I might be a current resident of the Midwest, but I've been lucky enough to travel around the country and I'd put The Pompous Pig up there with the better BBQ that I've had. Plus the folks working the event were the very picture of hospitality. If you're in the area, do yourself a big favor and try some Pompous Pig. You'll thank me later!
I live in Georgia I've always saw this restaurant as I drive down the road, never heard anyone talk about it. I was watching BBQ shows on YouTube the other day and bam the pompous pig had a video on there.The food looked amazing. I said we going the next time we are in Anderson. The food was off the chain good!! Its a must stop place for BBQ! SO GOOD!!!

aside from the fact that the barbecue was cold when I got it. the portions are extremely small and very overpriced. and the owners excuse is always the same. but I'm here to tell you there are better BBQ spots with better food and better prices. not trying to be rude just trying to be honest. the only thing I can say nice at this point is that the staff was extremely pleasant and the place was clean.
What a great meal! Great selection of BBQ and an even more amazing selection of sauces! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If we are ever in Anderson, SC again we will surely be back! Until then we will settle for checking out their website!
My food was delicious today, always is! It came out super fast and made a quick lunch break easy! The cole slaw and baked beans are my favorite sides!! Very friendly staff as well! Thanks Pompous Pig!
