High Crime Area Though Laurel Pointe is within a couple of miles of the Athens-Clarke County Police Headquarters, the apartment complex and its addresses are frequently in the news for crime and violence.
Wrong Property in the news! Regarding the high crime comment, that report was falsely stated as to what property occurance happened. Laurel Pointe has not been in the news for any kind of violence or crime. The wrong complex was reported. Due to this kind of name similarity, the management company has changed the property's name to be less confusing to the public.
Apartment The apartments are nice enough, they are older, but have recently been renovated. They have 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. They have a pool and a fitness area. When we lived here, back in graduate school, we liked that they had a low security deposit and that they are located on the bus line, the stop is right out front.
