Absolutely sinful meal today. First time to The Pit. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend the Fried Green tomatoes, Brunswick Stew and the Ribs were melt in your mouth! We tried ALL the side dishes and enjoyed each one... although my son said "the best fries" he has ever had!!! LOL We will be back... Oh.. the pumpkin cornbread was amazing too. x
Excellent BBQ in a great space! We were there early and the Chef gave us a tour of the pits out back!
You'll laugh, but as a vegetarian I was blown away. The barbecued tofu was phenomenal. Some of the best tofu I've eaten in 22 years of vegetarianism. Sides are marked as vegetarian or not, which is extremely considerate. If you're in the Triangle area, don't miss this place! I'm told it's easier to get in here on a weekend night than the Raleigh location, too. :-)
This is truly my favorite place to eat!!! I love it so much!!! My family and I always come to the Pit to celebrate special occasions as well as just eating out.
As a lover of all things BBQ, this was good food! But I was expecting more due to all the high praise I had received about this place. Great starters too!
Told 30 minute wait for a table, turned out to be an hour. Once we were finally seated, we were told they were out of two of their kinds of pork. This is around dinner time, well, we arrived around dinner time. Brisket had good flavor, but was dry. Honestly, not worth the money or time.Many a dive bbq are much better.
