The name Pig & Whistle has had a place in British history ever since daily rum rations were issued to all men aboard Royal Navy ships in 1655. As the story goes, it was the job of the junior midshipman to go below to draw the rum for the shop's company from the barrels - called "pigs". One day the junior officer arrived on deck drunk with the rum for the duty officer of the day. Great food, great service. Would like to come here during a game,, looks like a fun place. When we were there all covid precautions were being followed.
No masks no business! I’m not interested in a side of COVID-19 with my meal or supporting a business that doesn’t care about the health of our community.

Service and food were excellent, good prices and they don't water down drinks. (Which I have noticed is a problem in this area.)

Well after many trips this evening was probably the last ! Not sure where all the regular servers are but the new ones not good ! Was told no pineapple cider but I’ve had it there many many times then like magic there is pineapple cider 👀 Couldn’t get a second drink let alone a third food served with no silverware 🥄 no condiments etc takes 20 minutes to get after asking AND to top it off this dude comes running past our table 😳 Not everyone is a tourist by the way 😏
