Buys from Puppy Mill Put the coordinates 39.356394,-100.719556 into google maps. See all those long skinny buildings with little wire cubes coming from them? Those are where all the parents live, all 834 (yes, over eight hundred dogs) parents that produce puppies for Sharon Munk. This is the reality of the puppies that are sold by the pet pad. Do you really want a puppy that was bred in a place that keeps 800 adult dogs in cages their entire lives?

My dogs are wonderful My husband and I purchased 2 dogs from here after careful consideration. We researched the breeder and did not find any credible evidence that she runs a puppy mill. You can look up USDA inspections online for breeders. In my opinion, not every large scale breeder is a puppy mill however I realize not everyone will agree with that. They are both opinions, and you know what they say about those. My two dogs, one is almost 10, the other about 3 are in good health, happy, well adjusted and have never had o... read more
Cool. The staff sucks though I got my Corgi (CH Kiwis Princie Prince) I absolutly love him ! And i would deffinatly buy from here again. The only problem i have with the pet pad is the staff. The staff is very rude. and seems to allways have some kind of a stink eye on me while i browse the store. Other then that, nice location, O.K prices, great dogs.
Happy shopper You cannot say what a puppy mill is till you have actually seen one or rescued a pup from there! this place is actually very clean, yeah the manager and owner need to be a little more personable but i got my newest dog from there and they were very helpful! i took my new dog to the vet and he is happy and healthy! so if he truly was in some "dirty" place don't you think he would have something wrong with him? also all the puppies there are UTD on shots etc. they are a respectable local business that actually te... read more
Shut it down! Dear Jane S. and Stephen K, Although I agree with you that calling the Pet Pad itself a puppy mill is a bit erroneous I think it is important to question the source from which the doggies in the small 10 in x 10 in windows originate from. No Jane S. I too doubt that the Pet Pad in Cary is a puppy mill because none of the employees there are competent enough to breed two dogs. In fact, they were not even knowledgeable enough to provide me with paper work detailing where they recieved the puppies from. They purch... read more
They don't trust loyal customers!!! I have shopped at Pet Pad for 7 or 8 years as I want to support a local business. I do not ever buy dogs from a store, I meet the breeder in person and see the kennel for myself as well as adopt from agencies. But my main problem with this place is the owner has no customer service skills. The staff is pleasant so I overlooked the owners faults. I just bought crickets to feed our many frogs and lizards. I even asked the sales person that rang me up is everything was in the bag (I had so ma... read more
nice place i got my dog from this store 3 years ago got all the papers with him and everything do not regret my dission and the place is a business, they are there to make money that how a business works, i would hae no problem getting another dog from them
horrible needs to be chut down. This place is horrible and 100% has puppy mills puppies...first of all a real breeder does not produced that many puppies and puuies form differnt mixes. These puppies and this store has nothing but bad rewiews. The puppies are kept in glass cages and are very rude people. The prices of everything are $$$$$$$ as heck and they can not even tell you the size of a puppy fully grown. You can get puppies that are healthy for about 75% cheaper.
