The Packing House proves that traditional doesn't mean boring at this classic steakhouse and seafood restaurant. The stylish interiors exude warmth and invite guests to linger over half-finished bottles of wine and melt-in-the-mouth steaks. Rustic honey-toned woods juxtapose with modern accents to create a welcoming space that is perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a date. The menu highlights favorites like garlic-stuffed fillet, veal Oscar, steak au poivre, and roast duck. Save room for dessert - the Bananas Foste... read more

restaurant Outstanding selection of seafood, and meat dishes. Service was very good, and prices were reasonable. The beef wellington was fantastic as was the fillet.
The Best Fish Fry in Milwaukee There's a reason why the cars line up around the corner on Friday nights at the Packing House. They're all waiting for a hot, delicious fish fry. You get a generous portion along with fries and cole slaw for a reasonable price. The drive thru is also convenient. Next time you go, order a bowl of clam chowder to go with the fish - it's delicious.
Fish Fry worth the wait I try to go when the line is down, but that takes a bit of time. Go early or late and you'll do fine. We often have 2 people at our house share a fish fry. It is pretty generous. It's also one of the best we've had.
Very good food Packing House has very good food. Their Sunday Brunch is wonderful, the service is excellent and the prices are moderate. It is a great place for a large group of people to gather for a meal.
15 negative stars. Horrible experience. Our party of 6 left before eating our food and went down the street to Perkins. Raw chicken and a well done steak that had blood running out of it. Silverware with caked on food and pieces of food under our table. Once our 65-year old waitress new we were unhappy, she avoided us. All of our food was uncooked. As we got up to leave, the hostess told us to wait for our check? What? We told the hostess that our food was inedible and we were not paying the bill. The hostess ran and got the... read more
We were told this place had a great fish fry. Boy - was that recommendation wrong. The place is old 50s style bar and lounge with a staff that may be older and slower. The fish we got was slimy, undercooked and covered in a sour breading. The prices were outrageous. Drinks were $10 each for watered-down liquor. Waiters eventually took our order then disappeared. 40 minutes between ordering the fish fry and getting our 1st plates! Supposedly it is all you can eat but, we would have had to stay for 5 hours to get filled. Avoid... read more
This hole-in-the-wall serves serious fine cuisine – Referred by the Holiday Inn on a visit to Wisconsin. From the outside, this could have been any generic restaurant in America at an uninteresting roadside location with fast food joints nearby. We were dubious walking in. Instead, we were treated to fabulous cuisine prepared to perfection. We're talking even vegetables (fresh, local) done right! Plus the wine list was very well thought out. This is no mere family restaurant. Someone here really knows what s/he is doing.
Avoid on Fridays – Had a 7:00 PM reservation on a Friday and was not taken until 7:45 PM. This was after two complaints. I felt they could have offered a free appetizer for the inconvenience but nothing was offered. This leaves me to believe that it's a common occurrence. The food was good. The waitress never showed up again after taking our desert order. A couple replacements took her place. I am not inclined to return.
DO NOT GO HERE – Wish I would have read more reviews before deciding to eat here tonight. Food portions were tiny for the price, but I credit the Chefs for making the best of the situation. Steak and Crab Legs were cooked perfectly, onion strings were suprisingly good and actually matched well with the King Crab. If you've never tried it together, it's a treat. 12 min to take our drink order, 2nd glass of wine never showed up, overcharged our tab and had to have it corrcted. Overall demeanor was snotty and dismissive. Please... read more
