I travel a lot for work and found myself looking for a good cup of coffee...no Starbucks for 60 miles. I walked into this country store and was immediately greeted with the warmest welcome from a very nice lady. She poured me a cup of coffee and asked me to come back for dinner. I said I would but haven't yet. I also picked up a very delicious egg, cheese and bacon biscuit my total bill was $3. Sweetest man at the register. This is exactly the type if country store you would expect nestled in the middle if Gods country.
The food here is great. But my husband and I had a mechanical problem with our car and we had to use the parking lot to remove a tire. The people there made sure we were ok and taken care of. They brought us fresh sweet tea and called a mechanic for us. Even customers were offering help! Thank you Outpost owners/employees for being so helpful and displaying your faith by helping others.
I only found this place today!! My friend took me as she and her husband go a lot!! It is totally wonderful and I cannot wait to go back!! Everything is SO good and a wonderful environment and atmosphere!! I will be a regular !! And the food is delicious!!
My Son (Andrew) and his friend (Michael) drove up from Mandeville and Baton Rouge yesterday and was very pleased that we decided to eat at The Out Post. The BBQ was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We loved having them and they will be back.

We ate at the Outpost Cafe twice while were at Pickwick Dam Campground...enjoyed it both times..the waitresses were very sweet and got our food to us fast...and very good!!!! This campground was wonderful...QUIET...CLEAN RESTROOMS...LARGE CAMPSITES. ....AND THE TENNESSEE RIVER right there!! We stayed at campsite #33 ...and we were from South Bend Indiana...ENJOYED OUR TIME THERE!! THANK YOU �
My favorite place to eat! I've tried a lot on the menu and everything has been great! Amazing atmosphere and amazing people as well!
