We were staying on Isle of Palms and wanted something nearby. Found this gem only a few miles away. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced.
My husband and I had an incredible experience at The Obstinate Daughter! We wandered in from the beach, and planned on getting some pasta or pizza. After hearing our server, Adam, describe some of his favorite dishes, we couldn't resist trying them! The smoked fish was delicious, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, and the sweetbreads were so rich and decadent! My favorite dish was the octopus. Three of us ate here last night, managed to snag a late reservation. From start (Obstinate Flatbread) to finish (Peach Crisp, Italian Cream Cake and Home Made Gelato) the service and menu was spot on. Seriously the best food we've eaten in the South to date. It's a shame it's so far away from home, otherwise we'd be regulars!
Fabulous lunch included geechie frites and heirloom tomato Bloody Mary's. Our waitress Tiffany was simply THE BEST. Cannot wait to return to try everything on the menu
Incredible food and service! We dined here after our wedding. The staff was thoughtful and accommodating and we didn't have a reservation. They prepared me a special vegetarian plate...delicious. Carrot cake is divine!
My husband took me here for lunch today. The service was great. Our server answered all of our questions and was wonderful! The food? Outstanding! The pork belly special for me and the seafood skewers for the hubby. Scallops were perfect, the pork belly was tender and all was delicious! The deserts were spectacular! Definitely worth a visit!
I don't quite know where to begin. Service was spot on. We had reservations and the table was ready as we walked in. Our party of 8 fabulous women enjoyed great cocktails on tap, mussels, mushrooms and flatbread - for starters. Then to our main courses - amazing house made pasta . You must have the pasta. Also, wine recommendations were perfect for the dishes! Just a truly superior dinning experience - loved it.
